Mission
The Informatics Research Centre (iRC) strives to be a leader in the study of information technology (IT), information systems (IS) and their effects on individuals, organizations, markets, and the economy through theory-driven and applied research, and through partnerships with research institutions, industry, and public organizations.
iRC Activities
The iRC supports the development of research and of future professional leaders through a series of activities including hosting international scholars and presenters, research colloquia, and workshops; engaging in research partnerships; and developing curriculum and professional opportunities for students. In collaboration with iRC’s Industry Advisory Council and Industry Research Fellows, the iRC addresses the sustainable values of business through multiple sectors.
iRC activities include:
- Leading in creating innovative, novel and rigorous quantitative IT research
- Publishing this research in premier academic journals
- Disseminating our knowledge to students and to the community
- Educating future leaders through research-based and experiential pedagogy
